Exchange Activity Reports for Office 365
Your boss really likes looking at interesting reports about user activity in Office 365. But collecting all that data each month, organizing it, creating charts, and writing up reports is draining your team’s time. So we have a great alternative for you.
We recently introduced a new set of reports in our 4ward365 management solution that shows everything about e-mail activity going on in your cloud. The new Exchange Activity reports helps you analyze mailbox traffic with detailed information such as the volume of messages sent and who the big users are for both sent and received e-mail.
This information helps you easily identify any strange e-mail activity in your environment, especially users sending way too many messages on a certain day, which is a clear sign of malware. Using the data gathered from our Exchange Email activity reports, an administrator can be alerted at the right time and can take the necessary action to remediate a security issue.
An example of a new Exchange Report is shown below. This report shows the number of messages sent, received and read within a specific date range.
By clicking ‘Columns’, you can add or remove information within the Exchange Activity Reports. The columns can also be filtered, and as with other reports in 4ward365, it is simple to export, save, print, or schedule the report to run on a regular basis. Furthermore, using V-tenants, or admin groupings within 4ward365, organizations can segment the information in these Exchange Activity reports.
If you assign a specific administrator to ONLY view a subset of users, then that is the only group of user activity that will be shown in the reports they’re allowed to view. These reports can also be added to the ‘Favorite Report’ area by clicking on the star icon close the report name. This enables quick and easy access under the ‘Analyze’ tab once you have logged into the portal.
The data view can be updated instantly by clicking the ‘Refresh Data’ button. You will see a success message once the data is refreshed.
In the top right corner of the table you can also adjust the time interval for the data items shown in the report. By using the drop-down picklist: yesterday, 7, 14, 30, 60 or 90 days, or some custom range, it is possible to filter the information quickly to see only the date range that fits your reporting needs.
Would you like to view this report in your environment? If you are already a customer running 4ward365, you can find these new Exchange Activity reports by logging into the portal.
